Burglary Near You -Chippendale Rise

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Chippendale Rise, this occurred Thursday 5th November 1930hrs and 2000hrs and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.

Unknown suspect(s) have gained entry to a property after snapping the locks on a rear door. Once inside, an untidy search of the premises was carried out and a quantity of gold jewellery and watches was stolen.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 1900hrs-2015hrs to check if you had any activations.

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.

Whilst we do not wish to alarm residents, it is always worthwhile reviewing your home security and reporting anything that seems suspicious. If you have any information regarding this or any other burglary, please contact us on 101.

Thank you for helping to keep our communities safe.
